December 8 Update:  The plans have changed since they were published on the blog.  Gail spoke to Art Harris at Public Facilities, who is in charge of the Ellsworth Field project and he said the final plans will be available for viewing along with the drawings at the North End Library at 6 PM.  This will provide the public with half an hour to review the plans prior to the beginning of the meeting at 6:30 PM.

The Black Rock Homeowners' Association is publishing a monthly newsletter (print out attachment).  BRHA has changed it's schedule of meetings from monthly to quarterly and will use the monthly newsletter to keep members up-to-date between meetings.  They are also promoting a "Stimulus Package" to encourage current members to ask new members to join.  Both old and new members will get 50% off of their membership dues. Plans by a non-profit organization to change the zoning for 124 Old Battery Road to create a residential facility for 50 people have been dropped.  After a June meeting with residents, most of whom expressed opposition to changing the zoning from residential to non-residential use, the non-profit decided not to move forward with plans for a residential school for autistic adults at the Chimneys and has instead set its sights on using a building at 515 Washington Avenue for a non-residential school.  The Washington Avenue location is currently the organization’s headquarters.
