Bridgeport, CT (May 11, 2010) – As the newest official Rotary Club in Connecticut, the Black Rock Rotary will be hosting their Charter Dinner at Brooklawn Country Club on June 2, 2010.  With over 30 new members in the group, Black Rock will be the first Rotary group to be chartered in the Fairfield County district in over 10 years. The Charter is a significant milestone, as it makes official the club’s status at the international level.

You are invited to the Open House for Black Rock Rotary Club from 6-7 PM on Tuesday, January 19.  Come on over to the Dish Restaurant at 2889 Fairfield Avenue and meet great people, find out about the exciting community projects we have planned for 2010 and hear a little about who and what Rotary is. The new provisional Black Rock Rotary Club is hosting its first community fundraiser December 5th - a jazz night to support the Friends of the Black Rock Library from 7 to 9 PM at the Black Rock Branch Library.  There there will be Jazz music, a wine tasting sponsored by Harry's, hors d'oevres, and dessert - all for $25 per person.
