We will be conducting our Annual Spring Ash Creek Clean Up at 9 AM on Saturday, April 3, which is low tide. We’ll meet at the driveway at 19 Eames Boulevard (19 Grovers Avenue). Please wear a long sleeved shirt, long pants, and gloves because of the poison ivy along the banks of Ash Creek.

Thanks for your support!! Donations for Reward on information re; who killed the Sycamore trees at St Mary's can be mailed or dropped off at Happy Tails, 3008 Fairfield Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06605. Checks should be made out to the Black Rock Garden Club. They are tax deductable as Club is a 501C3. Folks may drop off during business hours or mail them in.

GOOD NEWS EVERYONE!
As promised, I said I would do anything I could to have those trees replaced ASAP and I did-- I reached out and I have been given six trees to be planted at St. Mary's! I will be given 6 shade trees, preferably Liberty Elms or Sycamore trees from Tom Gilbertie of Gilbertie's, 7 Sylvan Lane in Westport and Scott Jamieson, owner of Oliver's in Fairfield. I will coordinate the planting with the parks dept. and the donors.

According to the Connecticut Post, Mayor Finch, the police, and the Parks Department were all out at St. Mary's yesterday investigating the scene of the crime at St. Mary's. There will be serious police investigation into this.

I'd like to give an update on the status of the trees at St. Mary's.
If you haven't yet heard, 15 trees at St. Mary's were vandalized Saturday night about 11:30pm. Someone with a chainsaw cut a full ring cut to the trunks of all but two of the trees from the beach to the flagpole.
